GO2 Events launches new city-to-city race planned for next autumn

A new city-to-city marathon taking runners from Bristol to Bath has been launched by GO2 Events.

Held on traffic-free closed roads on October 25, the event will follow a route which takes in the sights of the City of Bristol, including Brunel’s ss Great Britain and Queens Square, before heading towards the UNESCO World Heritage City of Bath.

“There are only a handful of closed road marathons in the UK and we are incredibly excited to be bringing something new to the rich local running scene in the South West of England,” said Jamie Warren, head of marketing and commercial at GO2.

“This ‘city-to-city’ event promises to be really unique and we are looking forward to the Bristol and Bath Marathon becoming a firm favourite in the running calendar, both locally and nationally.”

Further details are to be announced in the new year, including full route details. See bristolbathmarathon.com.
